SEARCHING FORUMS - DLS/FCT problems

This is aimed at nobody in particular and is meant as information to help users of the forum and to try encourage a drop in thread after thread about the same thing so please bear that in mind before you berate me.

There is a search function (on the dark blue ribbon above, it's called 'Seach'). Before adding another thread saying how frustrated, angry, stuck, whatever, you are with the DLS or your FCT, do a search of the forums using that function. Granted it may not be the best search facility ever, but it will provide some answers. Furthermore, there is a section relating specifically to the DLS.

Between the DLS section and the General Trainz section, which is peppered with DLS threads, you will find that many people are currently experiencing difficulties with the DLS or a FCT (myself included). Try reading a few of these and following the advice contained within and you may find your problem resolved. If not, that is the point at which you should consider either adding to an existing thread which is preferable, or posting your question.

I understand your post and the reasoning behind it. Hopefully some will head your advice, and take a moment before beginning yet another thread bemoaning the current status of the DLS.

I to totally agree with you.

But, we are asking that someone first READ before posting, and that doesn't always happen.

And, perhaps a the person with the problem may feel that their post will be lost and not get the attention that he/she feels is needed.

We can only hope.
