It is a good picture to show the evolution in size that the railroads underwent.

When i first downloaded the coaches I thought, "Man, how are these supposed to fit with the giant locomotives of today?" I do believe the coaches were 1940's era. (Something inside me just screams 1840s! 1840s!)

Don't feel bad. I got in to the Polish steamers, and I didn't know what coaches and locos went with what... I still don't really know.

Weird, the coach is called something like "Union Pacific coach '47." Perhaps they're 1847 coaches?

No its 47' as in 47 feet in length. And sampug is right around 1860-80 these cars were in service.
