Sorry for quoting the image. I'm curious, is that an N&W class Y or A and where can I find these beauties?
Sorry for quoting the picture, but that looks like a Bulldog being tailed by Chihuahuas. :hehe:
It is a good picture to show the evolution in size that the railroads underwent.
(Something inside me just screams 1840s! 1840s!)
Don't feel bad. I got in to the Polish steamers, and I didn't know what coaches and locos went with what... I still don't really know.I guess the bulldog had chihuahuaphobia. :hehe:
When i first downloaded the coaches I thought, "Man, how are these supposed to fit with the giant locomotives of today?" I do believe the coaches were 1940's era. (Something inside me just screams 1840s! 1840s!)
Actually, those coaches are just around the 1870/80s![]()
Yup, 1870s era. Search for Pullmans if you want good 1940s coaches.
Weird, the coach is called something like "Union Pacific coach '47." Perhaps they're 1847 coaches?
A harbour in Canade. Long, long before the winter olympics.
Nice steam shovel, Jan!!
