Schedule Library / CDP / Transferring to another computer

I have a route / sessions which I have downloaded and modified for my use. I added many routes to a Schedule Library module. On my regular machine the routes programmed are still functioning and show the routes and stops I wish to follow etc.
I have other computers onto which Trainz2010 has been loaded. The "Local" file was transferred/copied to the machines with all their assets and all routes and sessions also transferred.
I have two programs which I have spent much time on, a lot of the modifications etc have taken, vehicles/assets loaded, except for the Schedule Library instructions. The Driver command has the routes listed but the routes themselves have 'disappeared' from the Schedule Library.
I have removed/uninstalled the routes and sessions from the new machine, created new CDP's from my working route, but once loaded into the other computers, the routes have disappeared
Does anyone have any ideas what the fix maybe?

The Schedule Library Rule, I believe is built-in on TS12, but I can't recall if it is on TS2010. Ensure it is enabled in your session otherwise it won't be visible for use.

I think he want's to find the schedule library, copy it and move. I have no idea how to achieve this. Anyone?

Hi

Are you copying from TS2010 to other copies of TS2010 or are you copying from TS12 to TS2010? If it is the former then I can't see any reason why the routes and sessions don't show up unless you have favourites selected on the route page. Did you look for the route in Content Manager? If it is in CM then the answer may be as simple as turning the favourites off (click on the gold star on the routes page).

If you copied from TS12 to TS2010 then the route and session will have a higher build number and won't show in TS2010. I believe that route files have a different format in TS12 than in older versions.

The only way that I can think of for copying a schedule library with lots of routes set up would be to make a copy of the session and then delete all drivers and rolling stock from the copy and save it as a base session to be used to create other sessions.

Brian

I've been trying to find this too. It would be great to be able to export and import this information particularly when there are some really complicated route commands.

I have been using TS2010 to TS2010 (I have 2012 but found it did not accept many of my projects and older assets) It goes from Computer to Computer. Yes I have added SP4 - installed on all my three units running TS2010. If senior programmers are readings this thread and it is SP4 which is screwing up Schedule Library, maybe a SP5 is warranted. (Currently trying copying and LOCAL file from working computer to newly Traiinz installed computer.)

Transferring data / files to other computers not working properly

Further to my post of Saturday 24 May : I copied the LOCAL directory / Did a database update, (no choice) / Found the routes and sessions but in each case the Schedule Library was 'corrupted' with the routes as laid out missing. The drivers were in there with their vehicle id's, and the route which they were to 'drive' but in the Schedule Library, some of the routes were there but all the information like trackmarks, passenger load time, etc. were missing. The routes were from the download library originally and modified by me for my use "San Francisco" and "Niagara Belt Line" For the Niagara Belt line the vehicle assets are missing from the routes although the additional rail and switches etc are there. Yet on the primary unit I am using all the routes and assets and libraries are working correctly. Yet the new W8.1 machine is not accepting the updated CDP's nor the exact current copy of the LOCAL file. The same is happening with an old W7 operation. All three machines are updated to the SP4 49933 version. I thought updates were to fix and not ruin the programAny help or fixes would be really appreciated.

You missed the original directory. This holds all assets that have been downloaded from the DLS and have not been modified. That is why you are missing assets. Need to bring that directory across also.

The Original Directory from the installation is in the same directory as the LOCAL is located. I had it installed when Trainz2010 in the directory which I wanted to use with LOCAL. The only thing I did not do was copy the ORIGINAL from the properly working TS2010 computer to the newly installed computers with the Trainz2010. I will give that a try next.

It seems when trying to incorporate the same Trainz routes and sessions,; One must copy the Local Directory and the Original Directory from the "Working computer' to the 'new'computers (change the installed LOCAL and ORGINAL on the new computer before doing the over copying to i.e. LOCALx and ORIGINALx). One should use a large portable drive to copy from one computer to another. (It also provides a backup should anything happen) Also copy the Sessions which are in a directory called CACHE. After all that and Extended Data Repair needs to be done or will be done before commencing regular activities on Trainz.
Thanks for the help for this situation.

You may as well copy everything. I mean the whole program. I just did that, jup, 26Gb big. Uninstall or make sure it is completely erased, and copy the master program you want to duplicate. It works perfectly. (Make sure your USB is big and if possible USB 3, but 2 will do..).
