Saving loaded consists

I have been trying to save a loaded consist of sandstone hoppers but after saving them, they end up empty when I try to use the consist again. Is there any way to save the consist and have the cars stay loaded? Also, if this isn't possible, is there any way to load multiple cars at one time instead of having to load each individual car? Thanks

To load a bunch of hoppers at once, use the instant load command. Bear in mind that this will load the default load so you may need to edit the config.txt to ensure that the specific load you want is the default one such as coal, for example, instead of sand. I can't remember if there's a version to specify what load to be default in its setup. If that's the case, then you're all set and there's no need to edit any config files.

You can't use the ? in the session editor on the hoppers and place a load in them so they load up in your running session?

There is InstantLoad with a product from a queue specified, if you have the Potteries Loop Line, not available anywhere else though.
Law of averages says there has to be a similar script somewhere. Really must learn scripting at some point.....

Yes, I can load the cars one at a time but I read somewhere that there was a way to load multiple cars with the same load.

If all the hoppers are a same type of car, there is a button in the "?" menu to copy that car's load to other cars of the same type into the consist. If I remember correctly, it has two automobiles and an arrow inside of a circle. Once pressed, it should give all the cars of the same kuid the same load.
