Safetran 04 Signal Optiom - Approach lit

Clicking the "?" for Safetran Signal 04 asks if you want the approach lit. What light is this referring to??

It is reffering to the signal being lit upon approach of a train. I.e. if there is no train approaching the signal, it will be dark (No light at all), but upon approach with a train, it will turn on (or be 'lit') displaying the correct signal aspect....
