Russian Signals

Trainz Maverick
With my Russian inspired route almost reaching the end of primary 3D placement, thoughts are starting to turn towards how to signal it, using the types that come with the Belezino route. Unfortunately, all the input fields and instructions seem to be in Cyrillic, which is not much use if you don't understand Cyrillic or speak Russian. I think I probably know what the answer is, but is anyone aware of an English FAQ or instruction guide on what each type of signal does and how to set it up? If not the fallback will be to use either UK or US signals but I would prefer to use something more authentic.

Hi Vern. I do not have this route but I can translate them for you. Either point me at the signals you want or PM me and I can work from there. We will work something out.

Appreciate that Doug - I'm going to study what the authors did in the Belezino route and if I get stuck, will give you a shout. There appear to be scores of different signal types so not easy to type a short list.

Without being controversial, unfortunately this is what happens when N3V don't apply any language control over assets. With the majority of Trainz users having English as a first or second language, I do wonder whether they should have mandated that any descriptive text or scripting instruction should be written as such? OTOH I don't suppose that many people outside Russia have attempted to build a Russian route..!

Hi Vern - That will be okay. I speak passable Russian and I have a Russian wife who has offered to help if needed. Signals are what I do at Westinghouse (now Siemens) so the tech bit should be okay.
