Running TRS2009 Off Same Serial?

My younger brother has taken to the hobby of Trainz, and seems really interested. He has his own computer, but we only have one copy.

Is it possible to install it off the same disc, and to use the same product key simultaneously? (I.e both of us playing at the same time?) Is it also possible for both of us to be downloading off CM at the same time with one serial, or will it be black listed?

Even if it is possible, it is illegal as far as I know.

It is possible to install it on 2 differing computers with same serial number, but he cannot download stuff off of CM at same time as you or use Trainz chat at same time as you, He can also play at same time

Hi Harry.
Why not buy another copy of trainz for your brother? I would of thought TRS2009 would be in the bargain bin in your local computer shop by now, of maybe order a cheap one of the internet (unopened, of course).

If there was some way ownership of a old copy could be transferred to someone else (who people could vouch for as being legit on these forums) then I'm sure people could pass down old copy's to hopefully get more people (like your younger brother) into trainz.

I have TRS2010 just sitting on a shelf going no-where as I'm now using TS2012. It's a shame I can't pass it on to someone else now that I need it no more. :'(
