Run Around Train Command

Sorry if this has been answered but, I searched and couldn't find any info. Here is the question: When issuing a run around train command, my engines sometimes go through two or three signals before reversing?? Is this controlled by light ? If anyone has an answer it would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have been wondering the same thing. It is not only the run around but anytime the train needs to reverse its direction, like into a siding. I have found that buy using track marks and the navigate to track mark command plus stop command then the next navigate to it works great and no long trips down the track before reversing. Carl

I guess track marks will work, but then how do you remember all the track marks? Go back to the map each time? What are the triggers ment to do? Maybe they could be used? Sorry it this all seems very basic, but I am still a novice at this.

It is easy. You name the track marks for the turnaround. Like: Container Dock runaround 1, Container Dock runaround 2, Container Dock runaround couple. Then you issue the commands: Stop, Uncouple all, Navigate to Container Dock runaround 1, Stop, Navigate to Container Dock runaround 2, Stop, Couple at track mark Container Dock runaround couple. Make sure you use the Stop commands or AI might go on down the track like it did when you used the runaround command. Carl
