Well today we took a lil drive over to Michigan to see what they have in store for us today...We decided to fan the CSX Saginaw Sub and when we got there we seen the Home Depot local coming on duty for the day

We then followed it over to the Home Depot where it will go and pick up 2 empties and take them to the Home Depot warehouse and swap them 2 for loads

Here we see it passing a junk pile

Coming closer now to Home Depot

At Home Depot he grabs the 2 empties and pulls them out from the docks

With the empties in tow he is off now to the big warehouse

At the spur that leads to the warehouse the conductor hops out and onto the back of the last car as it prepares to make its backwards movement down the line

At the warehouse he cuts the empties

and grabs a few loaded boxcars and a centerbeam

On the way back up the branch line headed for the main line

Back on the main line he goes into a small yard where he will run around the train and pull LHF back to Home Depot

And the last shot of the day we see him spotting the loads at Home Depot

Well that ends the day for this trip, we will go back to the motel and come back again tomarrow on this line and see what we can catch

Well tonight was the night we went out and fanned the Shawano Sub again...This time we caught the north bound that runs from Fond du Lac to Gladstone and for this the symbol is FDGLA...So we set out towards Neenah where we thought we could catch him but once we got towards Black Creek he was on the scanner saying that they will be in Shawano in about 30 mins or so...So we went to the first RR crossing and caught him there

As you can see all is quiet and it is a cool night out...when there is no clouds in the sky boy does she sure get cold out...Winter is in the air

But the sound of silence was soon to be broken by the FDGLA

Making its way thru small towns before coming into Shawano we see him blast pass this crossing...We were happy to see the 3 units on this train...Reason being for having these 3 units on this train is there are a lot of steep grades north of town up to Argonne...It is common to see an SDL39 on these trains as the F45's are another common one to see on this train as well

45 mins lata we caught him coming into Shawano where they were doing a crew change...The new rested crew from Gladstone will come aboard and take this train all the way up to Gladstone tonight where the crew from Fond du Lac will go in the office....Fill out some paper work and hop in the van and go off to the motel till tomarrow where the new train called GLFDA will come in the afternoon with the Gladstone crew where they will hop off this train and the new rested crew from Fond du Lac will board this train and take it to Fond du Lac and the Gladstone crew will be off to the motel till the next day and the process starts all over again

With the new crew on board the train departs town and heads north

Racing him to the Wolf River bridge we caught him picking up speed to make the grade up out of the river valley

Last shot of the night...Bell on and making its way up past the last few houses out side of town as the train rolls off into the dark cold night

On another day we will have to catch the local that comes to town the L3233 the Shawano Turn that works from Neenah up to Neopit

While we wait for screenies from engine49, here is a shot of a 9F passing Penshaw North Junction while a Deltic waits for the signal..
