Route Merging Problem

I am trying to merge a new route, (which at the moment consists of just two boards), with an
existing route. But all I get is a crash and an error warning. I tried to merge with another existing
route and that was successful. Now I'm really baffled. Help !!!

I recently send in a ticket on it and the only reaction was "known problem".

Sometimes it does not work, sometimes it does not work perfect.

To get the highest chance on success, open the largest of the two routes and try to merge the smaller route into it.
Even if it looks successful, check the corners of each baseboard. You will notice that 1 or 2 squares lost their texture and that 1 or 2 squares have been lowered to 0m height.

I think if the smaller route has more than a dozen tiles , in TS12, it won't work.

It has been said that you need to make sure there are no consists on any of the routes you are trying to merge, didn't work for me however it has for some so worth checking. May also be an idea to make sure both routes being merged have the same Trainz build number that is the current TS12 build. Save both routes as and then try merging the new copies, not tried this but could maybe work.

Worked for me till at least 20 baseboards. Had problems above 50. Did not test the numbers in between.
