Route Highlighted Red

Attempting to down load a Route from the DLS using the download helper, when it the the Route title appeared [to start the download] at the top of the window in the download helper it was highlighted Red and wouldn't down load. This happened to two different routes Southern China SU v1.0.5 [Detailed] KUID: <KUID:151055:100084> and Fox Mountain and Little River Railroad's... KUID2: <KUID2:344263:100103:5> yet was able to download another unrelated one in between theses two attempts.
They are both Ts12 routes and I have a lifetime FCT. Does anyone know why they are highlighted red and will not download? The Fox mountain Route was like this the other evening as well Thnks. Cheers

If your trz build is below 58414 it won't DL with CM
Try blackpage DL to desktop then drop into your CM and edit cfg to your version.

Thanks for that. I have not got the SP1 patch so didn't realise that was the problem. As I like to sometime customise my stuff and also run disconnected from the Internet will not be installing the patch as I'm not happy with the DRM concept. Its like spying. There are other ways of stopping pirating. Cheers

Don't forget though that the DRM will only affect you if you have installed/purchased payware DLC from Simulator Central.

Shane, I must support Gremlin1812. Any DRM activity is an intrusion on my privacy. If I have paid for it, its is mine and I can customise it and change it to suit my personal operating circumstances. If I on-sell it I may commit an offence. If I make it available to others it is piracy. I understand that. I also understand that to run the DLS as they do must cost a lot of money so firmly believe that access to the DLS should only be by FCT or what ever. It should not be free. It may also stop the whinging of those who expect everything for nothing in this day and age. Put up or shut up as they say in my country. I can hear the moans going up now around the world form all the bludgers but tell me, what other hobby can you purchase something so cheaply then expect free support for ever after? It like expecting Microsoft to continually support all their OS and then also provide all the compatable software programs for free. Lets get real. I see N3Vs problem but part of the solution is in the licencing agreements they need to introduce and the need to require you to have an FCT if you want to access the DLS. Nothing is free today . All sports and hobbies have a cost. the Cost of trains is not high.

Hi Shane well that's one good thing. I suppose we will really have to wait until Nov 13th was it, to see what its all about. Incidently guys like you are to be congratulated for the efforts you put into helping people solve their trains problems. I'm not a regular forum user but usually read your posts with interest and have copied many to my own Trainz help file. Keep up the good work and long may you be around. Cheers

It is November 13 that is going to be interesting as that's when the Kickstarter pages go live.

No problem, anyway. I like to help people where I can, on here, on my own forum, on British Trainz, or on the KD7EIR forum.

I'm hoping to be around for a while yet in some form or another.

Shane
