Riverside Railroad Company - x2

I've uploaded a revised version of Riverside Railroad Company to the Download Station. It is for TRS2004 and higher. All the dependencies needed by the route are on the Download Station.

This new version:
  • Changes the track so that TS2010 will see the route as intended, with the low-poly frame rate friendly track rather than with the atrocious track Auran has used to obsolete it.
  • Adds trees (missing from the previous version).
  • Makes some minor changes.
There is also an electrified version. I did this version so that I could stretch the legs of my growing roster of electric locomotives, most of which I downloaded from the STR site, here:

http://www.spaintrainzrutas.com/

I can highly recommend these locomotives.

Detailed maps of the route can be downloaded here:

I'll be uploading sessions later.

Thanks Phil!!

Great work as always!!! :D

Anyone searching dozens and dozens of sessions then check Phil vast sessions at the DLS!!

(btw -- I have not down anything with trainz since I moved, but that small project lighting up one of your site is still in progress -- trainz is just not in my blood in these hot summer Florida summer days!)

Hey Ish --

Good to see that you are still around. You have been remarkably quiet of late.
__________

I've jut uploaded a slightly revised version of Riverside Electric.

The original version worked fine on my PC before I uploaded it, but for some reason I don't fully understand the download version from the DLS has cars on the roads and bridges. They look faintly ridiculous popping up and disappearing again.

So I've added the line:
holdcarz 1
in the config.txt file. This should kill them.

The revised version of the route keeps the same name but is kuid :2. It should thus obsolete the earlier version.

Sorry guys, but live and learn - I've only just discovered the holdcarz tag.

Riverside Electric

Hi Phil
Am a big fan of your excellent routes. Really enjoy them. I down loaded Riverside Electric Co and found no overhead wires. Have I done something wrong?

Should be there

Hi falconetti --

I've just downloaded Riverside Electric into a clean install of TS2010. It's ages since I revisited this route and I gotta admit it is damn good (even if I say so myself!).

The overhead wires? Well, it does show in mine.

My design philosophy for this route is that diesel locomotives shunt the major yards at either end and the minor ones in between, and electric traction is used for the line-haul between.

Consequently you might not see wires over all the tracks in yard areas but you should see it over most of the route.

The overhead wires and poles are the same that I used in Downtown Traction and are thus in-built with TS2010. This should not be the issue.

So can you check the main line to see if that is wired?

Hi Phil
Redownloaded and now find the wires and poles. Was not looking on the correct line. Absolute stunning displays.:D
