Reverse train facing

How do I reverse my train facing if I want it LHF and it not go immediately back to the way it was when I re-enter the cab?

If you are external and driving, you can reverse by clicking on the circle with a space in the middle. The icon looks almost like a recycling icon.

You'll see the direction arrows flash briefly.

You can do this for drivers by using the reverse direction command if you want the train to turn around with AI drivers in control.

I know how to do it, but my problem is whenever I go back in the cab after changing the facing, it immediately changes to the default train facing

Yup. It's been like that for a while and it's annoying. I complained about it here in the forums and was more or less told there's nothing wrong. To me, as you are saying more or less, this is a problem. Having a train face one way externally to be different is totally wrong. This wasn't how it was in the early versions. Something broke somewhere and I think that was in T:ANE.
