Resume session problem

Hi all, I'm having trouble with resumed sessions.

By sessions I mean the ones that are created when you save the game when in driver - not a session created from surveyor.

If I am in driver, everything is fine. I save the game so I can resume from where I left off, but when I reload it, there are track problems, dead junctions and missing speedboards.

It's really strange. I have tried merging the layers in surveyor, pausing before I save and even stopping any active trains - all to no avail!!

Is anyone else having these sort of issues?

Just to be clear, it ONLY happens when I resume a saved session. If I start the driver session from scratch, everything is ok.

PS: Just to note that the junction problems only occur with ones I have made any sort of changes to. Not all of them, only some.

Sounds like you've been editing the session in surveyor. There will be other ways but try merging the session layer with the route layer after you make the changes.
It's the only way i've found to stop the issues your having.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm not sure how you mean about editing the session. I only save the game at certain states until I find a problem. Whenever I have made edits i delete the game saves and start from fresh. Obviously the edits won't show up in a saved game session andso are useless.

I don't normally use the save / resume function, but as my ECML scenario runs from 0530 right through to around 0005, I never see much past 10 /11am. Apart from a few more time tables, It's about ready for my to sit back and relax and do a bit of train spotting as they all go about thier shifts.

I'm going to bash on with it a bit more, but the last layer merge made no difference although I have only tried once, and cant remember if I made any more edits afterward.

I meant editing the session part of the route in surveyor. Adding track marks or points etc.
You have to overwrite the route layer for the changes to stick in a driver session.
What I do is after making changes is run a driver session for a minute, save and close trainz down. Wait 30 secs and start the saved driver session and check my points are still ok.
