Reskinning trainz forge big boy

Hi, I am working on a separate Trainz Forge big boy reskin. It is to make it look like how no. 4000 looked the minute it rolled out of the ALCO shops. So no painted numbers on the cab. But while it did do that, it also turned the cab of the model invisible. Anyone know how to fix this? how I did it? I changed the "rn-high" and "rn-low" numbers in the config to 4000 and reskinned the alpha numbers so they'd be blocked out.

Also, I attempted a greyhound reskin today, but it turned the boiler clear.
Would anyone know how I can prevent that when reskinning this model?
 
This could relate to the known bug in Trainz where concave meshes disappear when imported to the CM. If you can’t edit the original mesh, if that’s the issue, then you may be out of luck. If you can edit the mesh, the solution can be to separate mesh parts into new objects.
