I dunno if this exists somewhere I can't find, or if it'd be easy to make, but.

Up here in PA when a coal mine/load out is built in a narrow valley, a retaining wall is often needed. In the past several companies have used old wrecked or retired coal hopper cars. Here's a picture:

So, any luck with this? On a related note, what about old boxcars or baggage cars being used as MOW depots?

Yes... There's a grounded 12T Box Van at the East Kent Railway that's used as a tool store. Then there are other box-vans that are used for engineering purposes that can be moved by rail as well.

Make one. Use invisible track, kuid2:31293:38003:1 works, sink it below ground enough to bury the trucks of your chosen hopper, add road on top, or whatever that is. Truck dump?
