Replace Assets (TS 2009)

How do I use the Replace Asset function in Surveyor in TS 2009? There is a dialog with a large box on the right labelled 'Assets to Replace' and a single line box on the right labeled 'Asset to Replace with'.

Both boxes are empty.

How do I put things into the boxes and what would I specify? KUID or name? For example I want to change all the track from the Auran TS2009 one to a different track. How do I do it?

Regards

Its just a bit of a drag...

Check page 21 of the 2009 manual. Basically..

1. Use the 'pick' tool in the Asset tabs on RHS to select in the main view the item you want to replace.

2. 'Drag' its name in the list across to the 'Asset to replace' box. (ie, hold down LH mouse button and drag). NB: You must drag the item from the list, not the one in the little box above the list.

3. Find the replacement asset in the list and drag its name across to the 'Asset to replace with' box.

4. Click 'Replace' button

And that's all there is to it.

Thanks...

Thank you Phil

I am a little puzzled though about your reference to page 21 of the manual -- I don't have anything with that number of pages though I have found a shorter HTML document which I should have read and which does give the information you gave.

Am I somehow missing a 2009 manual?

You can access your manual by opening your hard drive in Windows, double-clicking on Auran>TS2009>Extras>Documentation>TS2009_manual_US. The instructions for using the "Replace Asset" tool are about halfway down, under "New Surveyor Tools". I, too, am mystified by the reference to page 21. I think Phil was possibly refering to the TRS2006 manual which is included in '09?
