I have found it impossible to replace speedtrees on built in 2010 routes.
The replace assets tool works ok on imported routes & replaces all selected tree types at once.
On built in routes it refuses to work. You can only replace 1 tree at a time, but only if you have used the move object tool first
I hope that this can be fixed because 2010 runs exceptionally well on my old pc,(without speedtrees), far better than TRS06 & TC3, (and probably would on other Trainz users with low spec pc's)
I know speedtrees are the way to go, (they look far better) & i will switch to using them when i can justify the expense of a new pc. But in these increasingly hard times, (for many) that's not an option
I would however recommend every user to upgrade to 2010. You can always rename built in routes ( & downloaded) from TRS04/06 etc then import them & change all the speedtrees. Just a shame lo spec users can't use the newer routes.
