Reinstalling trainz

Hello to you all,
I don't know if many people will bother answering questions about trs 2004 anymore but I will ask anyway.
I have had to have my computer reformatted recently due to a major embolism and after reinstalling trs 2004 I go to download something I get a window labelled "Launch application window" Inside there is a message which reads "This link needs to be opened with an application" Then "Send to".
What should I do to get things going properly?
I also have trs 2006 and 2009...

Unless somebody can come up with a better suggestion, I would recommend removing (uninstalling) from your pc. Run a complete clean (suggest CCleaner) of Registry files etc. Reinstall. I have had TRS2004 on/off my pc a number of times and the only problems I had were before I had CCleaner do its job.

Hello umphries.

There are still many members using TRS2004 who you will find are quite willing to help out wherever possible for users of all versions.

Most keep a regular eye on the TRS2004 Maintenance of Way – Support section of the Forum as well. I don’t know the specific answer to your current problem, but you can bet someone will know the answer.

One area you may also find worth trying is the Search facility. I’ve just typed “reinstall” in the search box at the foot of the TRS2004 MoW Support section and found loads of detailed advice.
