Red STOP signs and white beetles.

I have two sessions (both in the Jointed Rail built-in Tehachapi or Mojave route) which throw up this icon.
When I click on it a message pop-up appears with some gibberish about scripting.
If I click on the close button it then goes away.

What is this, why does it occur and what is the result of it occurring?

Thanks,
Bruce

That's an icon that appears when a script does something "illegal", meaning it produces and error, or bug - hence the icon you describe.

As to why it's happening, hard to say. You'd do well to post the "gibberish" (There should be a button to see the details) as a programmer may be able to make sense of it and provide and answer.

In the Walong Stall session, at start-up the stop-sign+beetle appears and the following information appears on the initial pop-up:-

Train : Thread Exception: ER_NullReference, line 1476, file train.gs (1)

Then, after pressing More, the following info appears:-

Stack dump:
function $permit[]@Train::TakePermitOnTrack(bool),line -4
function $void@Train::Init()line, 1548

Hope this helps someone.

Sorry to bump this up the queue but hopefully it might prompt a knowledgeable response.
Or should I perhaps contact Jointed Rail directly?
