Recycling TV

CRO

If it ain't broke...!
Our 50 inch LG HD plasma TV went heads up, picture freezing, static lines on screen, loud buzzing static through speakers, remote and manual controls locking up. Replaced with a new LED 3D TV.
Before consigning the old unit to the tip, I decided to connect it to my PC via a HDMI cable. After some graphics tweaking, I now have a 50 inch HD monitor.
Apparently, it was the TV tuner that had gone wayward.
The picture is perfect, and I use headphones for sound.
Bring on TANE

So...moral of the story, don't throw away that 'dead' TV until you have checked out if it can still be used as a monitor.

Wonder if I will get away with it if I tell the boss our TV packed up....
I googled the speed of dark - it is exactly the same as the speed of light except for being completely different :)

If you do that, just make sure the TV antenna cable is unplugged while the boss is around. :o
I figured out the speed of dark was the same as the speed of light in that it takes over from light as soon as the light source disappears........:hehe:

Cheers
