Reattach to Track

Just how critical is it to have a junction lever "Reattached to Track?" Even when not, it still shows the green/red arrows and the junction still works in that trains are directed to the correct track. Is it just a cosmetic / visual thing or are there other consequences down the track, so to speak?

I use it when moving track objects along sloping track. In S20 these objects will stay at their original height so they will end up above or below the track as they move along the grade. As you say that makes no difference to their operation but visually it will look "odd". The option restores the track object to its correct height (and position) in relation to the track.

In other situations I sometimes find it useful to be able to adjust the height and/or position of a track object away from the track.
