I rode behind 2102 again for the fourth time but the first on the Lehigh Line route which I rode before behind other locomotives. It was a great excursion, but long and it was a bit hot and humid but no rain. 2102 was really working on the upgrade parts and the Fast Freight diesels followed us from Nesquehoning and were put on the front of the train at Penobscot for dynamic braking down the mountain to Pittston. They also led the train with 2102 behind them in reverse from Tunkhannock to Pittston where 2102 was turned on the wye. A lady friend rode with us from the Coplay/Whitehall area, we picked her up early in the morning then drove to Nesquehoning, she was born and grew up in the Sunbury area and 2102 and the three other T-1's pulled excursions through her area during the Reading Rambles. She was born in early October 1962 and one ramble went to West Milton on Oct. 14, 1962. 2102 was a part of that ramble, it doubleheaded with 2100. I live west of Allentown near the PA Turnpike and that ramble in 1962 and others you could board at Bethlehem or Allentown. I rode behind 765 from west of Bethlehem to Pittston and return on Aug 22, 2015. That was during NS's 21st Century Steam program which ceased to exist after 2015 but they allowed 2 more years of 611 excursions in NC and VA, I rode behind 611 in Manassas, VA on June 4, 2016 and at Strasburg Sept 2019. The 611 excursions on NS ended after May 2017 and 611 hasn't run last year or this year due to problems at VMT and several key members left. It's sitting at the museum under the shed at Roanoke.
