RDC

Yes indeed. I have all of them working in TS12, along with a couple custom reskins.

I use them on a regular basis to create clutter traffic.

If I may ask, what doesn't work?

Hi, it says that it has 3 errors, they are: Error: Texture 'rdc_body/env_metal.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'rdc_body\rdc_body.im'.
Error: Texture 'rdc_body/env_metal.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'rdc_body\door_right.im'.
Error: Texture 'rdc_body/env_metal.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'rdc_body\door_left.im'.

Thank You

You can get them working with some pevsoft tool edits.

I'd created a few personal repaints in 2011 but gave up on them because the textures were very low resolution. IMO the models are pretty outdated at this point & not worth fooling with.

Could use some modern high-resolution / high-detai RDCs!

I used a file search tool and looked for an asset that had env_metal.texture in the asset.
I then borrowed that texture and copied it into the RDC body/folder.
Or at least I think thats what I did. It's been a few years now.

I'll look and tell you where you can fine it. Later...

This asset has the two files you need. Copy both files to both the body file and the night/folder.

Neither texture is referenced in the mesh. I did not clean the mesh files with PEV software.

I am assuming this is what I did, when ever I did it years ago.

I do know the texture files do exist in my RDC folders.

This asset has the files...

Aircraft Fuel Tank Product,<kuid2:60238:70022:1>

Edit... I just removed all the textures not referenced in the mesh. I then ran all the meshes thru
PEV PEVSoft PM2IM. This DID NOT fix the problem. I then copied the two files,
env_metal.texture.txt and env_metal.bmp back to the body folder only.
The files are not needed in any other folder.

This fixed the problem. It checed error free.

But those two files are already in the body folder.

I think he means you need to overwrite the textures in the body folder (If the new textures don't have the same name as the old missing textures, rename the new textures as the old textures and overwrite).

Not sure if it will work....

Yes as per MaverickLeader... copy and overwrite those two files. I'm not sure what your
running up against, but is sounds like a possibility of corrupted files.

I would delete both those files from the RDC body folder, then copy and paste them back in
from a different asset known to be valid without error.

You might use PEV Train Mesh Viewer to check what textures are being called by the mesh.

My RDC folder had several files not needed which I deleted with no adverse affect.

The files your having a problem with are not referenced by the mesh, but are indeed required
to get an error free asset. Guess this is gonna need a bit more looking at using other methods.
