Rattling noise from junctions

I wish to get rid of the rattling noise from junctions, when trains run through them.
Is there anyone who can help me?
I am running TS2009

I thank you in advance.

Are you using the 2009 track? I think the sounds are embedded in the track, try using a different track and see if the rumble persists.

It's built into the T2009 points system, not just specific track.

I'm sure there is a traizoptions line to remove it, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is...

I seem to remember in TC Trainzoptions File had someting like: -disablerailjointsounds. In TRS2009 have entered: -enablerailjointsounds as I like the sounds. Perhaps the correct line is someting like: -railjointsounds=disable, or railjointsounds=enable ? Someone else might know the correct line.

There is a thread that tells all the Trainzoptions File lines..but I can't find it at present.

Anyone else know where it is ?

I have a similar question, sorry if this hijacks the thread a little.

On a route I'm working on, there are going to be some signalling fringes, i.e. borders between one companys CTC signalling system and another, and a border between an automatic CTC signalling system and an older manual semaphore signalling system. I would like to mark these fringe borders with the junction rattle noise if possible.

Also how (Trainz 2006 SP1) do you kill the jointed rail sound? Can it be done at route/session/track level?

Kill rail joint sound

Hi

You open, in the folder Auran/TRS2006, the file trainzoptions. Click twice and add the string: -disablerailjointsound.
Get out and save. The jointed rail sound is killed.

It's not the jointed rail sound that I mind. It's that the sound is always exactly the same so it gets totally repetitive and tedious.

I fully agree, no matter how long the train is or what type of train, they seem to all make the same click clack noise, I run Virgin Super Voyagers and when they run along the track in real life they don't click clack, they quietly hum along, yet in Trainz you get that quiet hum along with the annoying same old same old click clack.

but even, no matter how fast your going it's the same click clack, just speeded up or slowed down.
