If you like to add interest to Driver sessions by including unforseen elements you may be interested in this idea - randomly appearing temporary speed restrictions (random in time, that is). They use special mojunction "levers" which are not on DLS but I can email to anyone interested. Instructions as follows:
To set up a 30 mph tsr between points A and B:
1)Use an invisible track to make a "passing loop" between A and B (important - looking in the direction from A to B, the loop must lie to the right of the
main track)
2)Replace the default lever at A with random_tsr_A_30 (kuid:327008:1492) and at B with random_tsr_B_30 (kuid:327008:1494) (may need rotating) and ensure the default junction directions are along the main track.
3)Place an invisible 30mph speedboard at each end of the invisible loop
4)Place an invisible speedboard for normal line speed beyond each junction
(facing to act on trains leaving the tsr)
5)Move the invisible loop so that it lies exactly on top of the main track
6)Add the Set Junctions rule to your session with the junctions at A and B
locking to the right and left respectively
Repeat the above for each tsr - there will therefore be one instance of the Set Junctions rule for each tsr on your route
You can choose how you trigger them randomly; one way is to use several
Random List rules e.g.

This arrangement causes each session to start with different tsr s in place.
Keeps the drivers on their toes!
The speed displayed on the mojunction items can be changed by editing the texture file tsr.tga
