Why on earth can't you mention content made by IHH on UKTS?
Sure you could when I last went there..
You haven't been there since about January then
The sequence of events as I understand it is:
Paul got banned from UKTS for some period of time
He argued that he had a legal right to be able to defend his work against anyone that said anything negative about it, and UKTS weren't giving him 'equal time' since he was banned.
He threatened legal action if UKTS didn't cease all discussion of IHH products.
UKTS complied.
(Some where in all that, he pulled all of his freeware content from UKTS, resulting in a couple of months where the freeware wasn't available anywhere - since he had yet to add the other sections to his own site, and he still hasn't done the 'forum' section of the site).
Now any mention of IHH, Paul, 'Sly', or any of the products he has released will trigger the moderation system, whereby that post (and perhaps further posts) will have to be manually approved by a moderator (and only if it doesn't mention IHH itself).
An example of this is that someone quoted some text about steam engine performance the other day, and was confused that it went to the moderation system - because the quoted text included 'big boy', and IHH have a big boy model.
TS.com was hit with legal threats from IHH at about the same time.
Shortly after TS.com and UKTS.com banned discussion of IHH products, Paul also pulled all of his products from steam distribution. So you are now forced to buy direct from him.
How he's still in business is a mystery.
Personally, I own a couple of his products from when they were available on Steam. But between his attitude when he was posting on the forums, the fact that he censored the major sites from talking about his products, the rather frustrating pricing model, and the final straw of not being able to use his models in RW2 because of very badly written anti-piracy code in RW2 - and being called a pirate by a certain JT contributor for even daring to mention that my payware purchases weren't displayed - I have vowed never to buy anything from IHH, JT or RS.com ever again.
