Railwaves HST pack.

How do you download a train picture beside your user name

Hi Liam, go to the top of this page to were it says - User CP - then click on EDIT AVATAR, this should give you what you were looking for...

There are 3 or 4 pages worth of locomotives from all around the world to choose from.

Hope this helps

Hi Yorkshire

While I don't have the Turbostars I do have the Electrostars and these exhibit the same error. It is a straightforward fix using PEVs PM2IM utility with the Strip Texture option ticked.

I have quite a few Railwaves models and I have them all running successfully in 2010 native mode. Having said that I don't drive any of them so I don't know if they drive correctly but they all work fine with the AI driving.

Regards

Brian

This may help... (It's fixed my Turbostar errors) - this will only work though if the error is something like 'xxxxx.texture is missing or could not be loaded for (some path)/xxxx.im' (replace the xs with the actual file names)

WARNING: Some textures on the affected asset may not appear correctly after doing this, so make a backup of the assets in question first just in case.

1.Download PEVSofts PM2IM software and install it. If using Windows Vista/7 the tool must be run in admin mode.

2.Open the affected item(s) for edit.

3.Open PM2IM.

4.In the Options menu, tick Auto Convert and Strip Textures (you can tick Close on Done if you only have 1 to do).

5.Click Open in the File menu of PM2IM.

6.When the Open box appears, you will need to find the Trainz installation folder then go into Editing. Once you are in the editing folder, open the folder for the asset you are using the tool on, then open the .im file mentioned in Content Manager. Be aware that PM2IM will overwrite the existing .IM file, so make sure you have a backup before using the PM2IM tool on it.

7.Re-commit the asset (once you have closed PM2IM)

Hopefully this should fix the faulty aspect.

Shane

(Sorry about bumping the thread though, but I have only done so to give some important information - the information given here can also be used with non-railwaves assets).

If anyone is confused on any aspect of this post, please let me know.

No errors reported in TS10 SP1 with my Railwaves HSTs though the class 43 power cars show the following missing dependencies:
Unknown Location: <kuid:67906:50052>
Unknown Location: <kuid:67906:54661>
Does anyone know what these dependencies are?

Paul

Edit: Apologies, forgot that I've got the cdp (it's payware!) so just reimported it into CMP. Duh!
All dependencies now in place......

They did for me. As I recall, there was a patch available via the site but this may now come with the current download.

My main problem is that as I purchased many of these items several years ago and I can't find all of the damned e-mails confirming those items I bought, now.......:hehe:

I installed everything I have into my TS2010 and don't have any problems with the locomotives, or, wagon packs, but, all of the coaching stock, turbostars, electrostars and voyagers show error messages as is shown below, however, to my surprise, it doesn't stop you from placing them on the tracks, running them and changing the destination blinds and whatever, so, that's half acceptable......:p

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

At a push, Railwaves are sympathetic towards redownloads as long as you use the same email address and password, and follow the instructions on their site regarding redownloads (FAQ section)

I bought all the content from the author before it was placed on Railwaves, long time ago so as for receipts and pass words, hmm.
I did try to do the manual updates but the instructions they gave were all wrong.
Nexusdj gave me a wonderful instruction set on the old UKTrainz forum, but before I had time to get them done the site went down and my instructions with it. Serves me right for not making a copy of the page.

I would love to see a sound set for the HST as I'm sure it would be unbeatable from what an excellent job they've done on previous sound sets. I would love for them to make a sound set for older locomotives like 37's and 47's aswell. Maybe one day. There are other sound sets available off the net, some of which are excellent, others are good but could be improved. I haven't tried all of the HST sounds but the ones I have tried have been in the latter category.

elviacannon, it is against forum rules to advertise in your posts.

Also, if you do actually have any versions of Trainz (apart from Trainz Ipad/Trainz Android), register it/them.
