For me well Theres too meany to chose form.

First of all, I would need 15 Powerball jackpot winners to bring the EBT RR back to life, as most all of the ties need replacement, and the rails outside of town are totally over grown with 45' tall trees and schtikerbush' schwubbery', and what little rails that remain, would need total replacement, asside from the 5 mile stretch from Rockhill to Colgates Grove Wye (and on to Mount Union).

As for the Wopsononock RR, it was laid for probably $20,000 in 1870 ... to replace the ties and rails (that are now totally missing) would cost many millions for the 20 mile long line.

My favorite paint scheme, I say Southern Pacific and AT&SF, so I could see modern day Kodachrome (love the scheme).

My favorite fallen flag, The Virginian, a cool scheme and it's old main (now NS) runs near my house...

To bring something not American into this thread, I'd stop British parliament from passing that act in the late 18o0's that said that all railways must be 4ft 8 1/2 or narrower, so the GWR could survive in its broad gauge form.

I'd also prevent the 1948 Nationalisation.

Illinois Central. Grew up with those rebuilt GP-7s and GP-9s running literally in my back yard. Big mix of GM&O power. Passenger was GM&O F units. Amtrak was a wet dream at the time. Metra father off.*
