Rail Driver and TRS09

hi folks.

Have any one with a rail driver tried to get it to work on TRS09?

If you have been successful please post back here what to do.

cheers

I copied some files and folder for RailDriver from TRS2006 to TS2009.

Folder:
C:\Program Files\Auran\TS2009\controllers
Files:
C:\Program Files\Auran\TS2009\trainzhid.cfg
C:\Program Files\Auran\TS2009\bin\TrainzHid_7c.dll

Does that mean we cannot drive in TRS2006 if we have the configs for TS2009?:'(

Thanks guys for your insight on that device. It sounds great to be able to use it in both TRS 2006 and TS2009 as so many objects from outside creators will not work in Trainz 2009.

Darn, no support on the P.I. Engineering web site for 2009. I don't have 2004 or 2006 loaded on my machine, and neither of the Trainz install packages on the RailDriver site will recognize the 2009 install. Guess I need to dig through some old boxes to find my old install software and put it back on the machine.

Found my 2006 DVD and installed it back on the computer. I also sent an email to P.I.Engineering through their web site. While this work-around works, I recommend all owners of the RailDriver should do the same so we can get some direct support of the new release.

Has anybody had any success using RD in TRS 06, TC3 & TRS 09?

I have somewhat had limited success in that it appears to be ok in T6, while with TC3 the reverser shows up initially in the 'reverse' position but once you move it forward and back it seems to be ok (of the limited times that I've tried it).

With TRS09 however, when I load up a drivers session the train is already moving off in forward motion and the throttle is on notch 4. It appears to have neutral calibrated where the Dynamic Brake Setup should be , notches 1,2, & 3 are where neutral should be and notch 4 where is located where idle should be and probably explains why the trains are already moving when a drivers session is loaded?? :'(
I have logged a report today so hopefully PI might have an answer.

Cheers

Puffingbilly,
I get the same as you but also when I click on another loco, mainly the CWS ones I get an error message pop up but just click on it and I'm in the loco but happens on every change or moving from back of train to front. Have also logged report with PI. :(

I get a problem with rail driver working with TS2009. When I am in driver the following occurs:

When I load up a drivers session the train is already moving off in reverse direction and the throttle is on notch 2 (and the throttle is red).

Brakes are in released even though the rail drover brakes is applied.

When I move the throttle tonotch 0 (the throttle is now blue) and the train keeps moving in reverse direction and reverser is in N and I can not select forward or reverse with the rail driver or even the F and R keys

I'm getting this same problem. My brakes are working okay, but my reverser lever isn't working right most of the time. On some diesels, it works intermittingly, but on others, the reverser initially shows up in reverse and when I move it to neutral, then I can't get get it to move to forward or reverse, even with the F or R keys. I haven't found a steam loco that it works at all on yet.
All of the other levers seem to work okay.

be sure to send this bug to them at tech@raildriver.com as many of us have the same issue. id assume including your basic machine and os specs would also be helpful to them.
