Can someone please explain to me how to quickdrive in ts19
I am slightly brain retarded so a simple explained answer would be great
I can select the loco i want to use in quickdrive
But I can not get into quickdrive mode
Can someone help me please with quickdrive in ts19
Thanks

In TRS19 SP1 select the Tools Menu (3rd icon from the left at the top of the screen) then select Quick Drive - Ctrl+F2 should also work.

PS: Just noticed you have TRS19 Platinum in which case select Tools Menu - Driver Mode

Thanks for the answer pware
Is there a way to load a route without the default consists being there too
So one can just add their own train and begin driving it
thanks

I haven't tried that but AFAIK you should be able to.

They (N3V) recommend that all consists should be in the Session, not the Route, for TRS 19 Platinum and Trainz Plus, which I do anyway. So if you load a route by itself then switch to the Session Layer and add any consists, then switch to Driver Mode. Try it and see.

Are you just trying to run your own train? Just click on the Route and then click on Sessions. "Select a Session" will show. At that point click on "Create Session" - The route will open and you can create and run anything you want in your own session.

I may be missing something but I:

* select "Driver/Suveyor"
* select a route
* select "Quick Drive" from my sessions screen

Once the route loads, most routes have no trains so the tab to "Edit Trains" is automatically open.

Plop down what I want and click the tab to close edit trains. Throttle up, bakes off.

If the tab doesn't open, it's a menu option at the top of the screen.

I think platinum/plus might be different to the original TS19. The quickdrive session is gone as it is made redundant by unified driver surveyor. Instead select create new session, add some trains and then switch to driver mode as described by pware.

Correct - TRS19 Plus for sure (and I think Platinum) do not have "Quickdrive" - Any version that has UDS (Unified Driver Surveyor) does not have "Quickdrive." You have to create a session.

Thanks for the answers everyone
I tried the select route view sessions create new session option and got to drive my own train

Also are the consists built in to the route of 1930s Cornish mainline and branches ?
As when I start that as above I get all the consists that are in the route there.

If they are there when you start a brand new created session then they are part of the route. If you load the route by itself you should see them.

As info, there is no "standard" for what is in a route vs in it's sessions. It is totally up to the creator. Most (?) routes are "empty" with consists being added to individual sessions. The concept is that you have a base route. You could have a session that ran passenger trains. You could have a session that focused on freight. In one session you could use different assets and have the fire department putting out a fire. If these things are put in the session only that will lend itself to each session being "different."

Study "Routes" "sessions" and "layers." When you start doing routes using Surveyor you need to have a good grasp on these three things (along with many other things).

I recently ran the 1930s Cornish mainline and I was glad to have the consists there, With only a couple of changes of junction I a was able to drive a chronologically correct consist all the way from Penzance to Truro

Thanks everyone for the answers
I now know I got it right to quickdrive in TRS 19 platinum
Thanks for explaining it to me
