The error, in non programming speak, is saying that there is a problem with a list of saved consists. This might be related to another problem I saw with consists and Quickdrive in SP1.

From what I can tell, the code thinks it has at least one consist but when it tries to get the consist name it fails with a null (empty) pointer.

You could raise it as a trouble report with N3V.

Have you, somehow, got the "Quickdrive" Rule enabled without also enabling the "Consist Data Handler" rule? Usually, in TS12, both are enabled by default but occasionally the system messes up. Try using "Quickdrive v2" and "Consist Data Handler v2" instead - you'll find you get more options!

That particular error appears when one or more of the assets it depends on are faulty or have missing dependencies (usually the former of the two).

I managed to re-create this error very easily. It occurs if you go into Edit Session and try to edit Quickdrive (the original version). So, following Sterrett's lead, I deleted both the original Quickdrive and the ConsistDataRule and added version 2 of both.

I was then able to get into Quickdrive's browser.

They are not installed by default and will need to be downloaded from the DLS.

sorry to bump this thread, but ive just randomly got this bug too, but worst of all, as soon as i try to add the v2 rules, trainz 2012 crashes for me
