Hello;

When the gmax Trainz Asset Creation Studio exports a file, it also provides a file named .gmw, which, as I understand it, isn't used.

What is the purpose of that file and why is it included in the export process if it isn't used by Trainz?

Just wondering

Cheers,

srude

I have often wondered the same thing. It is linked to the .im file but I have found that it can safely be deleted, at least in TRS2004, befiore uploading an asset to the DLS. However, I believe that the DLS will remove it if this is not already done. Does anyone have any more information? and can it also be deleted in other versions?

It gets flagged as an error in 2009 and 2010 if you try to commit with it present so yes it can be deleted as it isn't required.
