Question on AJS Invisible Stations

I am working on a route where most stations a fairly short (50-100M). the AJS Invisible Station work perfectly, but I have a problem. I can shorten the platform to 50M or larger using the setup dialog box, or even less than 50M for that matter, but when I do, standing passengers on the platform extend out beyond the platform - even in Driver. Is there a setting I am missing that makes the Invisible part (The grey, transparent platform) shorter, or match the actual platform length?

Hi Bill,

Have you tried some platform splines to cover up the surface? They may work if you stretch them out just a bit beyond the invisible station so that the waiting passengers don't look like they have anti-gravity shoes on.

Hey, John.

That's the problem. I am modeling a Japanese cityscape and platforms run about 50M long. There is no room to extend them beyond their 50M length as there are little huts, buildings, or other items in the way. It wouldn't be near as prototypical to do so.

I thought that when you used the setup option of "Platform Length", and set it to 50M, that it would shrink the entire station length to that length. Apparently not.

EDIT:

This is what I mean. Platform length is = 50M - I see this in Surveyor and Driver. Passengers extend out over the length of the station.

The passengers are fixed to the attachment points, only way to shorten them is to make up a replacement set of passenger attachments to fit within the space, which I did for short NG platforms, also lowered them and reduced the width, I did get permission of Andi to mess with them but I ended up not using them mainly due to issues with 1 in 40 gradients with stations on them! Passengers look a bit strange all leaning over!

Understood. I don't want to go that far. Mostly because I couldn't send the CDP to another person that didn't have the mods. I guess the only thing I can do is try to disguise those gravity-defying passengers by hiding them in buildings, or a row of parked cars, or something that would cover them up.

That, or try finding an invisible station that will adjust it's overall length.

Doesn't Andi also have trams stops on the DLS.. These are fairly compact; though the passenger height adjustment may be insufficient.. worth a try.

Hmmm. I'll pave to check into that. You may be right.

EDIT: I managed to find one of Andi's stations that will work. I thought I'd downloaded all of them, but I missed a couple. Thanks for the assist.
