Does anybody know if JR plains on making cabs for there models that dont have cabs?

The EMD standard cabs are good for any standard cab unit. The GE wide-cabs may get it when the Dash 9's come out.

i do not know at this time. there are quite a few problems that i have to address if i choose to do this.

1. there is no easy way to offer an update to an existing asset. it might be possible with an installer package, but i have not written it yet.
2. i cant just release a free upgrade to those who have the asset because i have no easy way of knowing if they do or not.
3. development of just a new cab model only would not produce anything new that i could add to the store, and would take several months to complete, i.e. no return for my time and no new items in between.
4. a free DIY upgrade would undoubtedly produce hundreds if not thousands of support requests about how to do x,y,z.
5. cabs that fit the older loco shapes will possibly be made in the future, but still, offering them specifically for the old models will just produce too much to support.
