Question About Twinning Roads With One Way Traffic On Each

I plan to eventually get to a situation where I'll have twin highways on my route that will either cross over or cross under the rail lines. The thing is, I noticed that I do 2 roads side by side, I see traffic move in opposite directions on both roads. So if Road 1 and Road 2 are going from East to West, both roads have 2 way traffic. I need traffic on Road 1 to solely go in 1 direction while traffic on Road 2 goes in the other direction. How can that be done if it can be done? Are there any road splines I could get on the DLS that just has 1 way traffic?

Try looking up 'YARNish Divided Highway' in the Content Manager, lots of good stuff.

You can turn any road into a one-way road if you want.

Clone first and then edit the config.txt file.

Add in:

isfreeway 1

or enable the line if it's there already:

isfreeway 0
to
isfreeway 1

Save, submit, and use.

Sounds good. I'll do that. Thanks John.

Would the direction in which the road spline is laid down then control the traffic flow direction?
Definitely! Traffic seems to run in the direction opposite the way it's laid. On the Yarnish Divided Highway use the color of the lines on each side of the road as a guide.

I found the easiest way is to lay one lane for the entire road in one direction and then start at the end of that to lay the opposite lane in the other direction.

Interesting. That could be because in Nth America you all drive on the wrong side of the road. Probably the regional setting (which determines if traffic uses the left or right side of road) combined with the direction the road is laid would determine this.

Just because your down under does not mean we (North Americans) drive on the wrong side of the road, I would say to that, that your toilets flush backwards... LOL
