Question about route editing

I see that Railhead has been able to edit the Brazemore Yard layout a few different times and Im wanting to do the same. It is on sale right now for the 12 Days of Christmas and if its possible to somehow edit the route even though its 'locked', I want to try my hand.

He stated that you are able add scenery but not able to add track or textures even if the route is locked. How would this be done? In a session?

I tried to PM him but no response yet and Im anxious for an answer as its only on sale for the rest of the day I believe. I wanna get it cheap as Ive already kinda overspent on my Trainzing budget this month.

When you read the threads in the Model Railroad section, it would seem that he creates a new session which contains all the additional content. Most is overlaid to either enhance or mask items that are fixed on the route. He just shows what can be done with these supposedly "locked" routes. Having a great eye for detail and being a bit of an artist doesn't go astray either.

Right on. Apparently, theyve already switched the discount package for the next 'day of christmas'...bummer. Ill just wait, but thanks. That makes sense.

I guess that same theory would work in other routes as well.

Yes if the route is locked / payware, then your only option is to create a session. Or if it is to be only for personal use (ie. not uploaded to the DLS) then you might be able to clone the route and mod it. I've never tried that though.

The only version of T:ANE you can edit the built in routes in is 78667,but if you apply even one update they become locked. These days you get an error message as soon as you try to clone one of those routes.
