Question about MRL from TPR

Hi All,

Off the top this question is directed either at people who have / use the MRL map, or at the creators of the route...

I've been working on a big route merge using the Montana Rail Link layout for a little while now. I just found out today though, that there are only 10 buildings on the entire map. I've looked through the dependencies and found that there are 29 broken links, but other than those, I have all of them. Is this happening because of an incompatibility between the MRL objects and my TRS2009, or is there something else going on that might be causing the problem? I really find it hard to believe that 29 missing dependencies would depopulate the entire 150 mile length of the layout of buildings, and all of the other fixtures are in place (track, textures, powerlines, roads, rivers, etc.), so I really don't think that buildings would be the only casualty of an incompatibility situation.

Please help if you have any ideas on how to get this map up and running, as it is essentially the "backbone" of my entire merge (the idea will hopefully end up with 500+ miles of track), and its going to take a long, long time for me to have to change all of the buildings on my own...

Thanks,
Greg

Greg,

The MRL route was built for UTC Trainz 1.5 so it is possible that some content is faulty but they would show in CM2 when you do a search for faulty=true.

More likely is that you don't have all the parts. Many of TPR routes have content that is not available on the DLS. Back in the days before the TPR download depot they posted all their custom stuff in the Goodies forum at their site. The best thing to do is to get a list of the missing assets and post it in their forum at www.trainzproroutes.org. They are very helpful at finding the missing stuff.

Then again there isn't a whole lot of anything in Montana so maybe there aren't a lot of buildings.:D

I seem to remember...when I was active over by 'dare...there was a package of dependencies for MRL. Check the route pages, if they still have 'em.

The guys over at TPR have said that they will be updating some routes for TS2009 but besides ProtoClinch they haven't said which ones. Point out the problems to them, maybe they can help.
