Query - Windows 7 & 3dsMax

Hi Guys,

Sorry if these are repetitive questions already answered, I was unable to find any relative threads to this small matter.


I am considering to upgrade to Windows 7 for my new rig-uma-bob in a few weeks.

I'm inquiring to be informed from those of you whom are in the "know" how well does 3dsMax perform on a Win 7 OS ?

Is there any specific version of Win 7 I should know that best supports 3dsMax in XP compatibility ?

what version of max? 2008 and up have worked fine for me in windows 7.

Using Max 9 in Win7 x64, no need for XP compatibility to be used, In fact I have never had to use it for any program that worked on XP

I'm convinced I won't go wrong having to upgrade to Win7. I've been using version 2009 32bit on (what I would now call) a low end pile of junk.
