Purchasing trouble

I got a bit of a problem...

I got Trainz 2009, and i would like to update to Trainz 2010, but is there going to be a Trainz 2011/2012 released soon? In that case, i feel like i would have wasted a lot of money on getting the best just before something better arrives.

Also, is it worth it? Is the 2010 version much better than the 2009 version? What new features are there?

Better Alpha Channel blending support than 2009
ECML route
Layer system
Better content filtering within Surveyor
Less crashing - most stable version yet

TS2009 SP3 runs much smoother than TS2010 on my rigs.
Can't see a lot of difference between the Content Managers, except the TS2010 version shows up more errors and faults.
Layer System seems to give a lot of problems reading posts here, can't
get away with it myself.
Have had no stability problems with TS2009.

Unless you are needing the ECML route (which is excellent) stick with TS2009.
It runs better on older hardware (also runs under Linux), and it is more compatible with older content. Don't patch it to SP4 though, otherwise you will then have TS2010 without the ECML and SpeedTrees.
