I`m using the pulpmill from fitz505 and I`ve got the 5 tracks in place but I don`t know what 2 of them are for. I`ve got the one for dropping off the woodchips, picking up the general goods ,and dropping off the diesel fuel but I don`t know what the other 2 are for? They`re just beside the fuel dropoff and they go under a rack of pipes for loading either tank cars or covered hoppers. Can anyone tell me what product and railcar these are for?

Hi rjw1975,

I just had a look on Wikipedia about the process in a Puplmill, and there are dozens of chemicals and products that are used and also produced. It all depends on what type of pulpmill you want to model.

The main chemicals going into the pulpmill according to Wiki are Bleach, Sodium Carbonate, and Sodium Sulfite. There is another chemical used which is available on Trainz called Sodium Hydroxide <kuid2:30671:9281511:1>.

A by-product of the pulping process (lignosulphates) is also used in the cement industry.

I hope some of this helps.

Rob.

or maybe for kaolin, which in early days was in a powder form, carried mostly by white stained boxcars held for just such a commodity; later days (like now) it's a liquid termed slurry, which is carried in tankers. Both types are products found in the LARS library.
