Pullmans coaches with drumheads

Thai1On

Slave to my route
Does anyone know of any pullman style coaches that have drumheads placed in the unused door on the DLS? Hopefully a reskinable drumhead ;)

Dave Snow recently did the UP Kenefic, would that work Dave? That's a business coach, and on one version the drumhead is a UP Shield, but there are three other versions with round ones, so probably skinnable.

A 'drumhead'? I feel I should know this, but I don't!
This might help.

That's fascinating, thanks very much. I don't think we ever had anything like that in the UK (but I'm prepared to be corrected!)

I was wondering about that. I would think that the Channel trains and other destination trains would have them advertising their routes.

Well, British named trains had headboards on the locos at the front, but not a drumhead on the rear coach at the back of the train. Though I say that thinking there may be some exceptions (maybe some of the named LNER trains in the 1930s?)

In the UK, some named trains had the name written on the gangway shield on the rear carriage. Some Midland region trains (eg The Royal Scot) had more elaborate designs that complemented the headboards at the front. There don't seem to be many photos available on line though...
