What's the difference between re-skinning in these two programs because I've had a hard time trying to do so myself but that's probably because the file wasn't a photo-shop compatible file.
I think Photoshop is the best tool out there, yes people may disagree with me but i have been using it for well over 6 years now and can do just about anything with it. But when it comes to re-skinning items in trainz it will make life easy if you know what you doing and quick commands. Other than that i have used gimp and don't like it, almost too simple for what i like to have control over. But when it comes down to it i think Photoshop and .psd files have way more abilitys to do what you are wanting to do.
I agree 100% with all the above. I do allot of photography editing with photo-shop and pretty much the sky is the limit on what you can do with it. If one is looking for great re-skins,.... not gonna find it in the shed..
