program shuts down when train reaches a speed of 56 mph

I am trying to create a new route but when I test it the program shuts down when the loco or train reaches a speed of 56 mph. Can anyone tell why and how to resolve this problem.

Update your TRS19 to SP5. That is a known bug in earlier versions. It had something to do with incompatibility with some sound drivers I think. Lots of threads about it if you search for them.

Thanks for replying to my request for information. I have checked my system which is fully updated so will have to seek other options.
Perhaps try running a loco somewhere else on the Route. This will either confirm/refute that the speed is the issue. Perhaps location is the issue. It has been my experience that Windows updates do not necessarily include all drivers, especially my graphics! I went to Nvidia direct and found that there was an update for my graphics driver which resolved my crashing issue. Another thought is to clear your log of issues (Developer > Clear Logs), and then let your Route crash again. Going into the new log may well point you to a specific issue, such as a corrupted asset file. Good luck. Regards. Colin.

There was an issue back in an older <I do not remember which> version of Trainz that would crash the program when the trains reached a certain speed - it may even have been 56mph! The cause was a faulty or old audio driver. As @Driver_Col points out above, Windows Updates do have a record of "updating" 3rd party drivers with their own generic Windows drivers - for example updating a Realtek Audio driver with the Windows "one-size-fits-all" generic audio driver - that can sometimes cause problems. I have experienced this myself.

So while you may have the latest Windows generic audio driver installed it may not be the latest driver from the audio hardware manufacturer.

Thanks for the info. I will certainly look into it

That`s given me food for thought. Will look into checking my Realtek Audio. Cheers

I recall reporting this issue with TRS19 some years ago. I don't think it's ever been fixed. Another reason I was happy to move over to TRS22, where I don't believe I've ever had this issue (though I recognise that's not that that's much help for you unfortunately.)
