Re my Product Problem Thread. Its finally over and I have found the offending item :)

Roll of drums...... It is :

Lime Product : kuid:121794:28101. Created by hupfgeign

As I've said I'm no expert when it comes to computers and this item may be fine for others but its a problem ( or was :) ) for me, so no disrepect towards hupfgeign intended, but I list it as it may be of help to others.

I want to thank all those who have helped me with this but mainly Dreadnought, Fran and Zulu.

Yeah so far, I've still to load some items back in but I think it unlikely I'd have two offending items at the same time but if I find any more I'll delete them and post details.
Now I know how to do it I don't feel worried or frustrated anymore. Granted its a long process but time is not a problem to me so I'm very pleased by the outcome

I found another one

BI Livestock kuid2:30671:27210:1 asset
The sheep kuid2:30671:90104101:1 the sheep.im file is corrupt.
 
I must confess I didn't follow the original thread to the end.

So how do others avoid the problem? If its causing corruption do we need to get something off the DLS.

I don't know enough about computers to know if the same item will affect everyone, I once downloaded flying seagulls which froze my game yet others said it was ok with them ?
I just listed the item that was affecting me in case it helps others

A lot of content was written for earlier versions of Trainz and various changes in TRS2006 and above cause problems. Usually errors can be fixed but sometimes we have to delete the item.
I items were to be removed, locos with .PM would have to removed.

You stuck with it and with help through this Forum eventually you sorted it out.
I hate to say this but did I not say it was a commodity and from a direction.
Anyway well done and happy trainzing.

Yeah all back to normal now, I've reloaded my original local folder, taken out the lime product and now working fine.
Yes Fran 80% right !! it was not listed under commodity but as misc so not easy to spot.
I must again say that without the community help my Trainz would now be in the bin and in my prosaic mind it got me thinking that if all world leaders played Trainz and joined the community then just maybe we would have a safer and nicer world to live in.

What a bit of common sense and patience can accomplish eh? Now to make the politicians see that... I doubt we'll be able to have THAT much patience! :hehe:
 
Now that's interesting...
The BI2 Livestock I've had for years and it hasn't caused a problem...
The Lime product had caused me a little trouble but I eliminated it when it did.

Thanks to all involved with this - might be worthwhile getting these threads put in the FAQ folder...

Hmm.

I have read your first post in the other topic and there you state you are using TRS2006+Sp1. Is this correct?

The offending item: kuid:121794:28101 ( Lime product by Hupfgeign ) is an TS2009 item. No wonder it crashes your game.
 
I did not download the lime on purpose so I suppose it came with an industry and I did not know it was for 2009, I would have thought that it would not load as I have 2006.
As to BI Livestock, its as I said about the flying seagulls for me they froze my game but for others they work fine. I have no idea why this should.
I'm just greatful I've got my Trainz to work properly again
