problem with the wrong platform being selected

Ok here is the situation. I have a station with 2 platforms and a through fast line. Im using the ajs 3.5 invisible station with the southbound being platform 1 and northbound platform 2. First of all the goods shed and sidings are on the southbound side and the engine shed and coaling stage on the north. What I wanted to do was take a shunt loco from the engine shed to pick up a carriage in the sidings and deposit it at platform 2 (the northbound platform). Sounds easy enough and I should add that there are no other locos in the vicinity. It just means that it uses the center fast lane as a sort of bypass loop to get from one side to the other and back again with minimum running on the wrong track. But here is where the problem began.
Every time I set the schedule it would happily pick up the carriage but then deposit it on platform 1. So I added some track markers at various places including within 10ft of the platform 2 load/unload area. To my amazement it go to this last marker then promptly reversed and headed back to platform 1.
I deleted the ajs invisible stations and reinstalled them. No difference. I tried different locos with and without carriages or wagons even starting them just outside the station. Same result. Then as I hovered the mouse over the icon at the bottom of the screen which tells me where the train has been assigned to call at I noticed it was set to platform 1 not 2. I thought odd so I abandoned the schedule and reselected platform 2. Hovered the mouse over it again and it still said platform 1 not 2.
So that is my problem. Why is the "call at" and the "navigate to" sending me to the wrong platform? And more importantly - how do I correct it?

Some additonal info. Ive now tried deleting all track within the station - including the ajs invisible stations and replaced them. Same problem occurs. This is very frustrating. I am not sure if it is the ajs station at fault or commands. I do know that if I only have the one station platform there it works ok. My suspicion is I will have to go without my express line and use a different version of the invisible stations. Any one any ideas as to whats going on?

Just say deposit at platform 1...
and it should deposit at platform 2. I think you have the platforms messed up.

just a stupid question from me: could not been you have the two platform named with the same name? I mean two single platform so with different name but both with just the platform one. It happened once to me 'cause I forgot to rename the very single platforms number so that on group was starting from 1 to 4 and the other one was starting from 5 to 8.

Hi Reberto,
Ive just double checked that just in case. Both are named and numbered correctly. I really dont know what has happened. Ive used these before without any such problems. I know its not an access problem as Ive had a loco standing next to the platform concerned and still watched it turn tail and head for the wrong platform.

You get that kind of behavior with 2 stations/industries having the same name. The DriveTo/NavigateTo commands search for the industries by name, and use the first one (lowest internal ID ?) they find.

Is there any work around for it? Otherwise if not then I shall have to completely redesign the station. I had been under the impression that these were supposed to have been designed to be able to be combined in the manner Ive used them.

You can't have 2 industries using the same name. If you want to have a clean list of destinations for the DriveTo/NavigateTo commands, use the CallAt command (kuid2:122285:3498:3) instead. It allows stationnames like 'Mytown [SB]' and 'Mytown [NB]' to be grouped as 'Mytown' in the list.

Ah. Ok so all I need to do then is add the [SB] or [NB] at the end. Thank you.

Yes. If both stations are named "Bonniebell" and each have a platform one and two, you will suffer the confusion that you have already. However, if one is named Bonniebell Southbound and the other Bonniebell Northbound and they each have two platforms, then you're golden.

Ok thanks. I had used 2 single line stations simply because I had a third track running up the center as an express line. But now that I understand the limitations I can correct it happily. Thanks all for the help.
