problem with SP1

Good day all,

I have PC Pentium 4 machine with Windows XP with the latest update

Downloaded the SP1 patch for TS2009

The system tried to apply the patch and it errored out and quit

When I tried to open the Driver tutorials, it will not load and hangs up my

machine.

Any thoughts on what is going on?

Opps Sorry I just re read you post you have 09 .
The only advice I can give you is to ask if you had your virus protection disabled or off during the install.
If not you may have to uninstall then reinstall both 09 and the service pack.
The reason for this is that having a virus program running can corrupt the install which will then lead to more problems.

Admin permissions

Did you use the administrators login to install the program and SP1?
The C:\Program Files are supposed to belong to the administrator in XP and may not be writeable or replaced by other logins.
Do you use another login to run Trainz?:wave:

Robin_Hood, I think that I turned off the antivirus before downloading the software and the patch. Do I follow the same procedure similar to what worked on 2006

Have you checked your build number , and that you are trying to update with the correct patch ?
