I have tried several times to take a snapshot of a test route, so I can show you the effect layers panel, but when I take the snapshot its only showing the test route and not the effect layer panel witch is up and showing on the screen. what's up with that? I have tried with one board and four boards, but there is nothing showing in the pull down list when I make a new layer for clutter. Please help, Thanks in advance.:'(

The new screenshot function automatically removes all panels. That is great for making screenshots (as a lot of people had the habit of forgetting that) but bloody anoying if you want to show a bug or something that has to do with those panels.

What I did was start the game in a window, make it slightly smaller then full screen, click outside of the game on my desktop and then make a screenshot. That way the screenshot is effectively of your PC screen with whatever you have going on in the game showing.

In window 10 you can hit the window key and at the same time the shift S. You then great a window that you want to keep. You can then past it into a picture program like Adobe Photoshop or past into note or word.

Print Screen copies it to the clip board as well as saving to the Screenshots folder or uploading it to the gallery, just Print Screen and paste into Graphics program, I use Irfanview. Dead simple.

In Windows 10 the best tool is the Windows key + SHIFT + S key combo that Lewiscc65 mentions above - or you can still use the built-in Snipping Tool to accomplish the same feat with your mouse.
Either way, the clipboard memory result can be saved in a number of graphics file formats to suit so you can edit and annotate them later if needed in any image editor.
