I hate to be pushy, but any solutions? I can't stand an error that's a lie.

Are you serious? A bumb within 40 minutes? When half the world is asleep? ... and when the author lives in that half of the world that is asleep?

It's not actually a lie. You must use PM2IM in strip textures mode to correct this error.

That's why I'm asking for help: I tried that, but for some reason, it failed to work.

I know it's only been a few hours, but it felt like forever to me. Anyway, I tried the PM2IM thing, but still got the same result.

If using PM2IM in strip textures (open IM) mode does not fix it, only the creator will be able to.

That can't be true: there's always somebody else who can figure it out! What else can I do?

Not always - sometimes, an error can only be fixed by the creator of the asset.

I normally use the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) for this kind of thing, but make sure it does not apply RLE compression on save and that you use the Export option not the Save option.

Now I've encountered it on another one, but this time, I found out that it was 256x25 pixels, so it's already a power of 2. What do I do in this case?

256 x 25 is not a power of 2. 256 x 256 is though.

Typo actually, the image was 256 x 256. Fortunately, committing the asset worked perfectly.

For some reason, Google didn't bring up any results. Can somebody please help me find this KUID?

Looks like a built-in KUID. Try right-clicking the asset and clicking Download though as it may pick it up.
